Adult Beginners
For adults who wish to get into the saddle for the first time there is no age limit! New riders start with an initial assesment session to gain confidence and to learn and develop the basics of riding. Our group lessons have a friendly encouraging atmosphere. Our instructors will continue to assess and monitor your progress and many new riders quickly find themselves confident enough to take part in low level, friendly events within a very short period of time.
Adult Riders
We have range of horses and instructors to suit adult riders at all levels. Lessons take place throughout the week and over the weekend to accommodate the needs of our clients. Evening lessons and specialist clinics are also available.
Junior Tuition
Junior riders work towards our own stages certificates and standards awards. Rosettes can also be achieved whilst inbetween stages. The programme is varied and uses all of the club facilities. Children can choose to gain confidence in group lesson or simply just attend the weekend pony rides.
Private Tuition
We are unable to offer private tutuion at the moment.
Group Tuition
Catterick Garrison Saddle Club offers all year round tuition catering for the beginner and more experienced rider. Tuition in Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country is available in addition to regularly held stable management, riding road safety and other courses.
We welcome all levels of riders and have a range of safe quiet school masters/experienced horses for the novice to the more advanced rider.
Cancellation Policy
We now ask that all bookings are paid for in advance. Bookings are not confirmed unless you have made payment in advance
To provide continuity of the day to day running of lessons any cancellation of your riding lessons must be done via email to Saddleclub1969@aol.com or via our enquiry form. Failure to cancel without a minimum of 12 hours notice will incur a 50% charge of your booked lesson price.
